Teacher Workshop: Python

There is now a CONTENT FREEZE for Mercury while we switch to a new platform. It began on Friday, March 10 at 6pm and will end on Wednesday, March 15 at noon. No new content can be created during this time, but all material in the system as of the beginning of the freeze will be migrated to the new platform, including users and groups. Thomas Cooper will lead this workshop from 8:30am - 4:00pm in room 345 of the College of Computing Building at Georgia Tech. Teachers will learn how to use python to create a simple face, more complex shapes, speech balloons, and animation. Teachers will create a temperature convertor with a Graphical User Interface. Teachers will write a Python function to display a nursery rhyme or song. Teachers will also create art with the Scribbler robots.

All teachers who attend will receive a Python book.This workshop is free for Georgia teachers. We can also reimburse for substitutes for Georgia teachers. Space is limited to 30.
