There is now a CONTENT FREEZE for Mercury while we switch to a new platform. It began on Friday, March 10 at 6pm and will end on Wednesday, March 15 at noon. No new content can be created during this time, but all material in the system as of the beginning of the freeze will be migrated to the new platform, including users and groups. We are excited to announce the first Annual Building Manager Symposium by the GTPD Office of Emergency Preparedness and the Environmental Health and Safety Department. The free informational workshop and luncheon will consist of a diverse agenda with topics designed to assist Building Managers in the safe and effective operation of their facilities. The program will include lessons learned/case studies, and breakout sessions. An additional highlight will be the presentation of the first GT Building Manager of the Year Award! Take advantage of this opportunity to get the most current information, network with your peers and be recognized by the campus community. We will also have door prizes and multiple vendor displays!
Light Continental Breakfast available 8:00 am – 9:00 am. Symposium starts at 9:00 am. Lunch will also be provided.
The keynote speaker will be Atlanta Fire Chief Kelvin Cochran.

Go to www.trains.gatech.edu to register. Search the Master Training Calendar for March 20 and select Building Manager Symposium. You will also need to choose one of the five breakout sessions listed below (these will also be listed under March 20 on the Training Services registration calendar):
Building Manager of the Year Nominations
Nominations for Building Manager of the Year should be submitted to Jennifer Mattingly at jennifer.mattingly@police.gatech.edu no later than March 1, 2012. Please include the nominees name, the building that they work for, the department that they work for and a description of why the are being nominated.
