The Guaranteed Tuition Plan (GTP, also known as “Fixed for Four”) rate for undergraduate students who entered the University System of Georgia in fall semester 2006 will expire after the upcoming summer 2010 term. Therefore, these students will only have two more semesters (spring and summer 2010) to complete their degrees under the GTP rate.

Effective with the fall 2010 term and any additional terms that these students are enrolled, students will be charged the non-guaranteed tuition plan rate in effect for that term (see below). It is important to note that the new rate is subject to increase based on the Board of Regents' decision regarding new rates for the next academic year. These fall rates are generally available in April and will be posted on the Office of the Bursar's Web site at www.bursar.gatech.edu as soon as they are published.

For students under the fall 2006 guaranteed tuition plan, the rates are listed below. These rates will continue through summer term 2010:
• For Georgia residents taking 1 - 11 credit hours, the current rate is $163 per hour. For 12 hours or more, the rate is $1,946.
• For non-Georgia residents taking 1 - 11 credit hours, the current rate is $803 per hour. For 12 hours or more, the rate is $9,619.

Students under the non-guaranteed tuition plan were charged the rates below for fall term 2009. As stated above, the actual fall 2010 rates will be determined in April 2010 by the Board of Regents. The 2009 non-guaranteed tuition rates below are shown for comparison purposes only.
• For Georgia residents taking 6 hours or less, the flat rate is $1,800. For more than 6 hours, the flat rate is $3,035.
• For non-Georgia residents taking 6 hours or less, the flat rate is $7,200. For more than 6 hours, the flat rate is $12,140.
