Starting in the fall semester of 2011, students will have an exciting new opportunity to pursue a minor in Leadership Studies. The minor is designed to complement a variety of Georgia Tech degree programs and will give students practical, real-world experience in leadership and leadership development - a key skill for thriving in the 21st century.

Designed for students entering their second year, the minor in Leadership Studies will provide students with an in-depth knowledge of leadership theory, skills, experience, and application through a rigorous program of study that is multi-disciplinary in nature. Initially, the minor will be comprised of two tracks: one in public policy and one in management. In the fall of 2012, a third track in international leadership will be offered. In order for students to enroll in this minor, they must have at least 30 credit hours with a cumulative GPA of 2.5 or greater, complete the application process and be accepted into the leadership studies minor. Once accepted, students will be prescribed a 15 credit hour course of study specific to leadership studies. This is in addition to satisfying the credit hour requirements for a bachelor's degree in their declared major. Each course counting toward the leadership studies minor must be completed with a grade of C or above, with the overall required GPA in the courses counting toward the minor being a 2.75 or better.
