Living in a new country without the familiar faces of family and friends is a challenge commonly faced by international students and their parents. The Office of International Education (OIE) sponsors an orientation to welcome all new/transfer international students. The orientation is designed to help incoming students adjust to both the U.S. and Atlanta culture as well as to learn about student resources available on campus.

Prior to attending FASET, F-1 and J-1 students are required to check in with the Office of International Education in the Savant building. Checking in with OIE is a way to meet the advising staff and become more familiar with the rules and regulations of their status. Advisors, staff and student volunteers will be available to make sure the students get a solid start to the school year.

Topics for the OIE orientation include:
* Immigration regulations,
* Academic transition,
* Cultural transition, and
* Staying healthy (and understanding health insurance).

Plus, students will enjoy a fun new student welcome celebration!

A detailed schedule of the orientation program will be provided to the student once they check in with the Office of International Education. Click here to view the schedule online.
