ThinkBig is a Living Learning program at Georgia Tech targeted toward rising sophomores and older. This spring, freshmen can sign up to live in these housing communities for next fall.

The communities are faculty-led on a specific topic of interest (see the list below for current programs). Each community has between 30-50 students. Faculty choose a topic and then plan activities, speakers, and outings for the students that will occur throughout the year with the support and assistance of GT Housing. The program has really created a wonderful environment for casual faculty/student interaction, learning for the sake of learning, and developing a community.

This year there are eight ThinkBig programs:
1. ATL: The 411 on the 404 (Dr. Doug Flamming)
2. Humor and Innovation (Dr. Pete Ludovice)
3. International House (Dr. Kelly Comfort)
4. Lego Robotics (Dr.Jeff Davis)
5. Life in Art (Dr. Sonit Bofna)
6. Sustainability and Outdoor Leadership (Dr. Dan Matisoff)
7. Techie Trekie (Dr. Ayanna Howard)
8. Women, Science and Technology (Dr. Carol Collatrella, Dr. Mary Frank Fox, and Dr. Mary Lynn Realff)

Participants have the opportunity to make real and meaningful connections with faculty members. These connections are nurtured through weekly coffee/social hours in residence hall lounges hosted by the ThinkBig faculty leaders and via the monthly outings and programs.

Students may sign up for a ThinkBig Community when they apply for 2012-2013 housing in the spring. The programs available for Fall 2012/Spring 2013 will be announced later this fall. For more information, visit www.housing.gatech.edu and www.thinkbig.gatech.edu.
