There is now a CONTENT FREEZE for Mercury while we switch to a new platform. It began on Friday, March 10 at 6pm and will end on Wednesday, March 15 at noon. No new content can be created during this time, but all material in the system as of the beginning of the freeze will be migrated to the new platform, including users and groups. Join us for our Friends Beyond Borders conversation cafe. This program provides a great opportunity for American and English speakers to practice their Korean, Arabic, Spanish, Japanese and Chinese while helping GTLI students improve their conversation. It’s also a great place to meet a conversation partner in a non-threatening environment.
The Georgia Tech Language Institute is located at 151 6th Street N.W. in the O’Keefe Building. Our Conversation Cafe will meet inside unless the weather is nice. We would love for you to meet us at 12:45 p.m. for a brief orientation for new volunteers and to help with set up. Most of our students get out of class at 1:05 and we would love to have the volunteers ready to greet them as they come out of class.
When you get to the O’Keefe building, please check in at the front desk or the back lobby. Please feel free to contact Adria Motiwalla if you have any questions.
