There is now a CONTENT FREEZE for Mercury while we switch to a new platform. It began on Friday, March 10 at 6pm and will end on Wednesday, March 15 at noon. No new content can be created during this time, but all material in the system as of the beginning of the freeze will be migrated to the new platform, including users and groups. Functionally the new site is identical to the old one. webteam@gatech.edu

We will be hosting 9 "Research Experience for Undergraduates" (REU) participants this summer at Georgia Tech focusing on the theme of Aquatic Chemical Ecology. We have 3 core areas of research for students to choose from: 1) biological and geochemical transformations of chemicals in aquatic ecosystems; 2) sensory biology and ecology of aquatic chemical communication; and 3) ecological roles and consequences of chemicals in aquatic environments. This program is an excellent choice for undergraduates majoring in any field of biology, chemistry, earth/ocean science, civil engineering, environmental engineering, chemical engineering, and related bioengineering areas who want to apply their classroom learning in an interdisciplinary research environment to solve complex scientific problems and learn about the importance of chemically mediated processes. We especially welcome applications from students from outside Georgia Tech. Please see http://www.biology.gatech.edu/undergraduate-program/reu/ for more details.
